This Thanksgiving, Vox listed disease elimination with the help of vaccination as one of six ways we should be thankful that the world is getting better.

The many developments in vaccine research this week gave yet more reasons to be thankful: CDC found that a new meningitis vaccine could protect against 91% of strains, an association was found between early vaccination and a reduced risk of childhood leukaemia, and a study confirmed that HPV vaccine can give up to 10 years of immunity.
