The nonprofit paid the fees to Vietnam Battlefield Tours, founded by six Vietnam veterans to offer planned tours to Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos, modified to areas specific to each veteran. “We take pride in putting people on the spot of where they want to go,” Stiteler, 67, said, citing the use of tactical maps and GPS research. Garrett, a medevac helicopter pilot, remembers the landscape from the air as he picked up wounded soldiers across the country.
