Mai Chau Hill Walk

by trekviet @ Vietnam Cycling and Hiking Tours, walking, trekking, trek, hike, ramble holiday in Vietnam

Mai Chau hill tribe walking The breathtaking valley of Mai Chau with its patchwork quilt of rice fields, farms and stilted houses is just a short distance from Hanoi. Home to the H’mong and White Thai hill tribes who will be our hosts, we’ll sample their homestyle cooking and be entertained with a traditional dance performance. By day we take gentle walks through stunning scenery. Day 1: Hanoi – Mai Chau – Pong Cong Village (L, D) We depart Hanoi and head west toward Hoa Binh City where we stop for refreshments and coffee. Leaving Hoa Binh, we climb toward the Mai Chau valley, about another 1.5 hours away, stopping on the way to take in the spectacular scenery. Following lunch in Mai Chau town, we stroll around the stunning villages of Thai people. Our hosts for this evening will be the White Thai minority people and we will stay in one of their traditional stilt houses. There, we will be toasted as honoured guests and will be able to sample some of their homemade rice wine! In sampling these people’s hospitality, we will discover a little more about their lives and culture following the evening meal. Tonight’s accommodation will [...]

Exploring by cycle

by trekviet @ Vietnam Cycling and Hiking Tours, walking, trekking, trek, hike, ramble holiday in Vietnam

DCIM100GOPROGOPR0227. Exploring by cycle or  cycling is fast becoming a trend that not only appeals to the healthy youth ready to backpack, but to a larger demographic of tourists who want to go deeper, and in a more authentic way, in to a country. Vietnam tours are unique in this aspect, as the country boasts over 30 million motorcycles and countless bicycles.   Despite the rough roads and somewhat unreliable public transportation, the country is extremely bike friendly. This is something the intrepid and adventurous cyclist can take advantage of. Exploring on a motorbike can also be a great excuse to linger at your favourite beach, or maybe spend a night or two at that hotel you have been reading so much about in Hanoi.   Why a Bike? DCIM100GOPROGOPR0227. Navigating through the streets of Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh may sound like a nightmare, as Vietnam truly has some of the worst traffic in Southeast Asia. But your bike (motor or cycle) will easily squeeze through the traffic and you will easily be able to find great parking spaces all around the city. When travelling further afield on Vietnam tours, many buses and ferries allow bikes to travel, which [...]

Our price options are flexible and work with different budgets, starting from at least 15$US/day. We believe in putting the money back into the Vietnamese community. We are the first and original tour operator in North Vietnam running our own Japanese Honda high capacity bikes. If you want to experience a bike tour that you will never forget then this is the right place for you. How We Ride Vietnam is an exciting, interesting, dynamic and colourful place that has no equal. Steeped in history, it is not only beautiful (with lush tropical forests and beautiful beaches to breathtaking mountain areas abundant in wildlife in the Central and North areas) but rich in ways that must be experienced to be appreciated. For the first time, it is now possible to see this vibrant country on an amazing Motorcycle Group Tour with Road bikes, Dirt bikes, and Scooters. We currently offer several tour packages of up to 6 bikes per guide with our own fleet of 110cc – 250cc from just one day to say, as long as you want to ride. We are more than happy to discuss ‘Custom-Made’ tours for groups of 4 or more. Veterans tours are most welcome.

hot and sexy bike girls

by trekviet @ Vietnam Cycling and Hiking Tours, walking, trekking, trek, hike, ramble holiday in Vietnam

Bike Girl Goes On Hiatus Bike Girl has been missing from the internet for some time now, yet she still continues to receive emails from loyal readers. What do you think? Should Bike Girl begin to post again, albeit somewhat infrequently, or should our fair protagonist retire from this blog permanently?       Arc’teryx A2B Commuter Pants – $139 If Giro took the approach of making as few changes as possible to the Gap chinos model, then Arc’teryx went the opposite route. Water-repellant and quick drying with articulated knees and lots of reflective stuff (cuffs and pocket flaps), these look very functional. The technical details befit Arc’teryx’s reputation for high-performance. Luckily, the price-point is lower than I would expect from this company. A lot of my friends express frustration at having products dumbed down or flowered up when a women’s size is finally released. Arc’teryx gets points for making these just like the men’s model, just sized differently. Unfortunately, there’s still a double standard in the workplace. There are men who work in my building who could get away with wearing these to the office, but it wouldn’t fly for me. I need something a little more polished. [...]
