Bread Machine Cinnamon Rolls – Easy, To-Die-For Recipe
by happyhooligans @ Happy Hooligans
Thu Oct 20 06:27:25 PDT 2016
So, I have this amazing cinnamon roll recipe.
You make the dough in your bread machine which makes the process so easy.
The part you do by hand is actually really fun and cool, AND...
They are the BEST cinnamon buns ever.
Here's the funny part though - when I made these the last time, I didn't use a big enough baking dish, and my cinnamon rolls rose UP as well as OUT.
They tasted delicious, as usual, but the results were quite comical.
I shared a photo on my facebook page, and people went nuts for it, saying they looked like Dr. Seuss cinnamon rolls, and suggesting that I make them this way for Christmas, dusting them with icing sugar, so they look like Christmas trees, OR colouring the frosting orange to make them look like candy-corn for Halloween.
Anyway, I thought you'd like to know that I wrote a post about them, and included the wacky pictures.
Check them out, and MAKE THEM! They are SO crazy-good. You'll never buy store-bought cinnamon rolls again.
Just use the right size of baking dish if you don't want the Suessical version. HA!
Click on the link below to see them, and to get the printable recipe!

At Vietnamese sandwich shops, you’ll find a dizzying number of meat options like grilled chicken, grilled beef, sardines, and even some Chinese influenced options like xíu mại. However, with Vietnamese sandwiches, pork seems to be king–you’ll always see pork options like chả lụa (meat loaf), thịt nướng (grilled pork), nem nướng (ground & grilled pork), bì […]

Bún bò Huế is a hidden Vietnamese gem that has yet to “make it” in mainstream American cuisine. It’s a rich and spicy soup with deep layers of flavor. This Central Vietnamese soup is paired with tender slices of beef and pork, then topped with lots of fresh herbs. Phở has made its way in and has grown popular quickly, so why […]

Bánh Xèo – Savory Vietnamese Crêpes

Bánh xèo seems to be designed to be eaten as a family. The batter, filling ingredients, and veggies aren’t complicated to prepare, but they don’t make sense to be bought or made to be eaten by yourself. You don’t just buy 1/4 pound of pork, 8 shrimps, or buy 1/4 head of lettuce. You kind […]

Pringles Can Binoculars Craft for Preschoolers
by happyhooligans @ Happy Hooligans
Mon May 30 13:28:45 PDT 2016
Here's a really fun and easy craft for your preschoolers to make this week.
We took a couple of Pringles cans, and turned them into binoculars!
These are so much better than your regular toilet paper roll binoculars.
For starters, they're very sturdy, so they're easy for little hands to hold, and they'll stand up to lots and lots of play.
Secondly, they're nice and big, so you get a nice, big view of everything.
And thirdly, because we left the lids on, when you look through these binoculars, you get the sense that you're looking through actual lenses.
Oh, and they were a whole lot of fun to decorate too!
Great for scavenger hunts, pretend play, I Spy etc...
