Discover these most popular church in Vietnam

by Ha My @ Blog | Eviva Tour Vietnam

Vietnam is famous for fine architectural Buddhism pagodas and temples but not so many people know about unique churches and cathedral throughout this country. With the unique architecture, these churches in Vietnam have made quite an impact on the tourists who love architecture. 1. Notre-Dame Cathedral Basilica of Saigon Many people don’t know that the full name of Notre-Dame Cathedral Basilica is Cathedral Basilica of Our Lady of The Immaculate Conception. Through many years, despite many ups and downs of history, the Cathedral in the heart of Saigon still look splendid, solemn and magnificent. For many people, It is considered as the masterpiece architecture of Sai Gon. All building materials of this cathedral including cement, steel, and screw were brought from France. The outside of cathedral was made of Marseille brick which still keeps its colour till now. The architecture of Notre-Dame Cathedral Basilica is fascinating and precise, from the wall, glass window, the bell, the Madonna… Every pattern of the cathedral follows Roman and Gothic architecture, blending both solemn and refined. 2. Saint Joseph Cathedral in Hanoi Probably everyone in Hanoi, whether being a Christian or not, all knows about St. Joseph’s Cathedral. The cathedral was designed in Gothic […]

Saigon nightlife: What to do in Saigon when the night falls down

by Ha My @ Blog | Eviva Tour Vietnam

Ho Chi Minh City, widely known as Sai Gon and the second biggest city in Vietnam, is a metropolis on the move. When the night falls down, the city turns into a giant party with tons of things to discover. As a thriving hub, Saigon works hard and plays hard. Follow our Saigon nightlife guide to see what are the best things to do if you’re going to spend a night here. 1. Spending the night on a rooftop bar It is not wrong for one to say Ho Chi Minh City has one of the most impressive collections of rooftop bars in the world. Offering panoramic views of the vibrant city and beyond, Saigon’s rooftop bars are rated as some of the best in the world. Sitting back with a cocktail and enjoy the stunning view of Saigon from sunset until the early hours of the morning. Drinks and food served at rooftop bars here are unsurprisingly on the pricier side, however, is still relatively inexpensive. With excellent service, stylish ambience, and lively crowd, a night out (or two) at Ho Chi Minh’s most popular rooftop bars is definitely well worth the extra expense. While some are highlighted by […]

Best Time For Motorbike Touring in Vietnam - Vietnam Motorbike Tours | Motorcycle Tours Vietnam

Vietnam Motorbike Tours | Motorcycle Tours Vietnam

“When is the best time to travel to Vietnam by motorbikes” is a popular question and it’s not easy to give the correct answer. The reason is that most of the area of Vietnam is mountainous so the climate is changeable like “women’s character”. In some places, you can have 4 seasons in just one day. During the rainy season but you may have a whole week without any rain in the day. It may be sunny in one side of the mountain but the other side could be cloudy/foggy or rain. The other reason is that Vietnam is a long and narrow country so the weather between the North, South and Central is quite different. The rain season in North Vietnam is from June to August but the South or Central Vietnam has rain later from September to November. Below is our summery for the weather in North Vietnam and South Vietnam from Hoi An to Saigon so that you can choose your suitable time for your motorcycle tours in Vietnam: North Vietnam: Spring (from Feb to April) and Autumn (from August – October) must be the best time to tour around North Vietnam by motorbikes. November December is quite cool and dry but could be foggy, January is quite cold in mountains (around 5 degree C). Rain usually in June – July. South Vietnam: With almost sunny and hot days year-round, usually rains in the afternoon from May – November but normally quick rain or rain in the late afternoon. Our answer:  We organize motorbike tours in Vietnam in whole year-round and we can say each time of year has pros and cons. As we say, It may rain usually from June – August but it’s just like a quick shower then stop to be sunny again and the pros of this time is that you can see the most beautiful color in the mountain with full of rice terraces and blue sky everyday with rainbow sometimes. Or Feb – April is a cool and dry time for touring Vietnam by motorbike but it could be sometimes foggy or drizzle so the view is limited on some un-lucky days. -Vietnam Motorbike Tour Expert –   No related posts.

US blogger recommends 7 must-visit destinations in Vietnam

by Ha My @ Blog | Eviva Tour Vietnam

Pete Vrouras, a famous blogger from California, USA, has spent a lot of time in Vietnam, from north to south. He often updates his travel experiences, including his memorable trip to this S-shape country. In this article, we would like to introduce the 7 top destinations in Vietnam that Pete has recommended. 1. Ha Giang Riding motorbike around Ha Giang is one of the experiences Pete loves the most in Vietnam. Ha Giang, to the very north of the country, is rather a place to escape from the busy noisy city. The roads here bend around the limestone mountains, through the valleys with terraced rice fields and into the town. The journey may take from 3 to 5 days depending on the path you choose to get on. 2. Dong Ba Market in Hue Dong Ba Market is located in the east of Hue city, along the Huong River. At this market, you can enjoy countless Hue specialties for about 40,000 VND. Quickly pick a seat in the crowded market and order your favorite dishes from the food court. With Pete, Hue is famous for its delicious food. This is an ancient capital with palaces and mausoleums of the Nguyen […]

Vietnamese cuisine: 5 unique ways Vietnamese cook their rice

by Ha My @ Blog | Eviva Tour Vietnam

Rice, or “cơm” in Vietnamese, is absolutely an indispensable part of Vietnamese cuisine, just like many other Asian countries. However, that does not mean rice is the same around Asia. Throughout the history, Vietnamese have created a wide range of ways to cook and serve their rice, base on the culture and ingredients of each local. Some you may not encounter anywhere else, some are just a wonderful elevation of normal types of rice dishes. Let’s discover the most popular 5 dishes of rice of Vietnam that likely to be on your favourite list. 1. Lam Rice – the specialty of Tay Bac Lam Rice is considered to be the one-of-the-kind dish of Vietnamese minority in the northwestern region.  It is considered as the food that represents this most natural and untouched area of Vietnam, because of its elegant taste of the cool streams and the fragrance of the borderless bamboo forests. You may find it’s interesting in the unique way of cooking. Glutinous rice after cleaned and soaked in water for 6-8 hours […]
